Voortman has been built for Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. only. Voortman takes care of installation, warranty work and service. Voortman provides the service, but Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. is available to assist if required.

While we always prefer that the machine is installed indoors, we do in fact have several Voortman beam coper installations outside. However suitable weather protection must be provided to the control panel and the machine itself. Please feel free to contact us to see photos from many of our outside installations.

The programming of the CNC Beam Coping Machine can be done even if it is not done manually. The machine programming software, Peddimat, is very easy to use and most operators can program most parts within an hour. Of course practice makes perfect. The best way to program the machine, however, is to import parts from a CAD drawing, preferably created in 3-D modeling software like ProSteel 3D or StruMis. These files can be imported directly into the machine. Sometimes, the operator may need to edit the part programme to create a lead-out to ensure smooth cutting. Then he selects the part and presses the Cycle Start button.

The Voortman will cut the copes in your steel beams faster than your layout man can even layout the copes. In the same way that the Voortman CNC Beam Drill Line and the Gulf States Saw & Machine Co. CNC Angle Line brought affordable automation of beams and angles to the small-to-medium fabricator, the Voortman similarly brings automated beam coping into shops that otherwise could never have considered it.
